An Encouraging Word: A Christmas Message

Dear Friend,
I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed Christmas Season and share with you a message of hope and gratitude.
Something that has resonated with me recently as the season has quickly transitioned from Thanksgiving into Christmas this year is the connection between hope and gratitude. In Christ, we find both; hope of the coming Savior and eternal gratitude for salvation … May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope… Romans 15:13.

Providing hope to the broken is a critical part of our mission at Tree of Life. Hope is choosing to believe that God is working, it lifts your eyes from current circumstances to see what God can do. Hope says, “this isn’t the end of my story.” Gratitude can be intentionally focusing on small blessings and shifts the spotlight from what we don’t have to what God has already provided. It helps us to pause and be thankful for small moments of peace and to not overlook reminders that He is close. Much of what we do, whether it’s providing a home for a single mother facing homelessness, giving food to local families struggling to make ends meet, or providing gifts to lonely Senior Adults in a nursing care home is with this in mind.
I invite each of you to consider volunteering, praying for and with us, and giving to support the work that we endeavor to do as the hands and feet of Jesus. Providing a glimmer of hope to those we serve with the love of Jesus Christ, all throughout the year.
A very Merry Christmas to you all. May you all be blessed as we celebrate the birth of the One we serve.
Luke 2:10-11 ‘And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord.’
All for Him,
Susannah D. Lee
