Some time ago, a dear lady – who has become a friend – shared her story at a conference of how she came to know Christ because of a person that God providentially placed in her life. Someone FINALLY told her about Jesus, even though she had come into contact with Christians throughout her entire life.
 
This story has been front of mind lately, as many of us have experienced the heaviness and weight of the world. Despair and worry will divide your mind, and cause us to take our eyes off of Him. But, thankfully, we can “cast all our cares on Him, because He cares for us.” 1 Peter 5:7 
 
As Christians, we have hope even in times of despair and we have a peace that passes all understanding even through worry, grief, and the pain that this world might bring. We have this because of Him… because we have the amazing privilege of KNOWING Him. We can choose what is better, what will not be taken away from us, as we heard Jesus speak to Mary and Martha in Luke 10:42.
 
At Tree of Life, our purpose is to serve the community with the love of Jesus through our 5-Branch model and our Gospel Enterprises; SimplyBe Coffee and The Clothing Closet. While we endeavor to meet the physical needs of our neighbors as Jesus directed us to do in Matthew 25 – such as hunger and thirst, clothing, financial needs, and so much more – my prayer is that we will always share about Him. Ultimately, it is He that will fill the true heart need, providing the promise of eternal life with Him and the thing that will not be taken away from us: to KNOW JESUS! Tell someone about Jesus today. He will change their life!
