Tree of Life’s Transitional Housing Program – Providing Homes and Giving HOPE

Over and over again, we hear from those in our transitional housing that the program has offered them HOPE in a time when they were hopeless. 

For Kayla, who was facing homelessness and didn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, the program brought relief and HOPE for a brighter future – one where she can eventually afford her own home, a new vehicle, and a secure life for herself and her daughter.

For Maisie and Georgia, they hadn’t even dared to dream of living on their own – between the challenges of work, transportation, and finances, finding independent living as an adult with disabilities seemed like something far out of reach. The program has offered them a HOPE they didn’t even know they could have, providing independence, community, friendship, and freedom.

Our Transitional Housing Program is more than just affordable homes, it is a framework of support designed to help our partners find success through mentorship, financial coaching, spiritual care, life skills, and more. Our goal is for them to leave the program equipped with the tools they need for self-sufficiency and independence – ready to the face the challenges of life. Right now, we have 11 units housing families, single women, and individuals with disabilities – 33 people in all. Since its inception in 2011, this program has seen great success, with more than 70% of our residents leaving us in a better place than when they entered the program.
