SimplyBe Events
April was full of excitment at SimplyBe in Leesburg! Our regular storytime on the first Wednesday of the month had it’s biggest attendance yet, with Forrest reading some great books to entertain the kiddos! Next we hosted the LCSO and Leesburg PD for everyone’s favorite – Coffee with a Cop! The officers and deputies were so fun to have on site and our staff was delighted to get to share the morning with them. Finally, WGTS came by for a Sticker Stop! The “Promo Boys” do an amazing job bringing in new customers to both SimplyBe and the Clothing Closet, and we always have fun when they spend the day with us! Make sure to check out SimplyBe’s Events page to keep up with everything that’s happening! |

It’s Official! SimplyBe is coming to the Giant in Purcellville!
Over the next few months, we’ll be transforming space inside the Purcellville Giant to launch our first Western Loudoun coffee shop, creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with special needs.
Giant has a strong history of supporting employees with disabilities, and we’re thrilled to partner with them in serving the Purcellville community and beyond. This collaboration will not only provide great coffee but also foster purpose, belonging, and inclusion for those with special needs.
The opening date will be this summer… stay tuned!

Volunteer Highlight

Meet Priscilla Behm!
Priscilla joined our Western Loudoun Pantry team a couple years ago and quickly became an integral member of the team – including stepping forward to take over management of grocery deliveries!
Most recently, Priscilla has started working directly for Tree of Life in our Eastern Loudoun Pantry, assisting our pantry manager there and making an impact helping to serve those in the eastern part of Loudoun. But even with this new role, Priscilla has continued in her commitment the Western Loudoun volunteer team… she is making a difference serving ALL of Loudoun and we are so grateful for her!
Thank you, Priscilla, for your hard work, commitment, and sunny attitude – you are such a pleasure to have on our team!

This month, we’d like to highlight Innovations for Gospel Impact. This amazing organization has made a huge difference in helping to fund our ministry and provide vital support to individuals in need.
From sponsoring our Pickleball Tournament, to grant funds, to personal support – their commitment to Tree of Life and our purpose of reaching out to those in need with the love of Jesus is a huge blessing.
We have greatly enjoyed getting to know this team and building an important partnership with them… THANK YOU to everyone at IGI Ministry!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
“Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; His going out is sure as the dawn; He will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” Hosea 6:3
To KNOW the Lord is to have the intimate relationship that the Lord desires for us, as the Father with His child. He will lead us to green pastures and still waters.
“His going out” is not Him leaving us; it is Him leading us with Him wherever He goes. As a shepherd leads His sheep, so the Lord will lead us. We can be sure of His leading—as certain as each day has a dawn breaking across the sky, so will the Lord also rise to go before us and lead us.
“He will come to us as the showers” speak of His provision of His will and His way to care for each of us. His provision will provide for us, just as the spring rains water the earth. The spring rains come regularly so that the crops will grow. He cares to provide for our needs with the same consistency.
As the spring of the year is upon us, let us turn to Him in worship and praise no matter if we have little or much, as He provides for each of His children.
As the Lord created spring, the rain, and the earth, He also created you and me! May we worship and draw close to the Lord each day to shower Him with blessings!
May you be blessed,
Chaplain Wayne Ruckman
