We also wish to thank special guest, Gary Clemens, for offering the blessing before our meal as well as all the members of our Planning Committee!

Thanksgiving Together

Our annual Thanksgiving Together Ministry will take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th at St. Peter’s

Episcopal Church, Purcellville, Virginia. We will be offering a FREE meal either packaged to-go or to be enjoyed

in person.

Can you help us make sure there are plenty of hot meals for those in need?

There are TWO ways you can help:

1) Prepare a dish and drop it off hot and ready to go on Thanksgiving morning, OR
2) Help hand out or deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day.

Christmas for Others

We are looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior and sharing the joy even more widely this year with those in need! Our Christmas for Others ministry will take place across all three of our regions with a free dinner, Christmas pageant and gifts. In addition, we will be delivering gift bags to senior adults and hosting a Christmas party for the residents in our transitional Housing Ministry.

Please pray about how you and your family might support a local family in need this season:

• Make a Financial Donation
• Shop directly for Senior adult gift items on our AmazonSmile charity list

Interested in volunteering your time? There are multiple ways to get involved:

• Event in Purcellville
• Event in Leesburg
• Event in Sterling

We are grateful for whatever you may be able to offer for this very special ministry. God bless!

GO FUND THEM: UPDATE!

We have reached 72% of our goal of $100,000.  As of 11/2/22, we have raised $72,397.00!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MAX

Max is a man of many talents! He has mastered tasks like dishwashing, sanitizing, order fulfillment and just recently, taking orders! Max is so good at taking orders that he has also become a mind reader and can even guess your name! It’s something you’ll have to experience for yourself to try to figure out just how he does it. While he is a man of mystery, Saturdays are when you’re most likely to see Max and his many talents and tricks. When you visit, don’t forget to ask him for a loyalty card. Punching the cards becomes a coupon for you, but also works on fine motor skills and improves those fast fingers!

Help keep Max and other staff members employed by supporting our Go Fund Them campaign and help us reach our goal before year’s end!

November is the month we focus on thanksgiving. Frequently, I think I take for granted the many things I should be thankful for.

This portion of a well-known verse reminds me of this:

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful.
This November, I want to be especially thankful:

I am thankful for Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

I am thankful for the salvation Jesus brings.

I am thankful for the eternal life Jesus brings.

I am thankful for the peace of Jesus which rules in my heart.

I am thankful for the membership into the one body that He calls me to.

I am thankful Jesus has called the members of His body to peace.

I am thankful to be thankful.

May the peace of Christ rule in your hearts this thanksgiving also! What are you especially thankful for this November?

May you be blessed,
Chaplain Wayne
