Sterling’s Free Dental Clinic
On Saturday, April 30th, our Sterling Center hosted a Free Dental Clinic for 32 children from the Sterling & Ashburn communities. This was a second successful collaboration with Drs. Joon & Julie Coe of Dental Innovations of Virginia. They along with 2 dental hygienists offered free cleanings and preventative care for the children, many of whom were first time patients! In addition, there were activities for the whole family: haircuts, face-painting, ice cream truck, bounce house and a large clothing giveaway!
We are grateful to all of those who contributed to the success of the day, through clothing donations, volunteered time and donated professional services:
Dental Innovations of Virginia
Christian Fellowship Church
Heritage Baptist Church
McLean Bible Church
Reston Bible Church
Sterling Presbyterian Church
Women Giving Back
Together we achieved a great day of impact!
In addition, we had our the first Pray Sterling event on April 20th! Members of the community, including local business owners, joined TOL staff to pray for the dental event and for the larger Sterling/Ashburn community.

THE POWER OF PRAYER
CHRIST IN MEIn April we celebrated Easter, a time to remember the suffering and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sometimes, we can become so consumed with Christ’s suffering, that we miss the resurrection.Colossians 1:27 states “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”The opportunity for us today is to remember that Christ suffered and died so that He could rise again. In conquering death, we also celebrate new life. That new life is embodied in me when I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. When I accept Him into my life, He comes to live in me. Revelation 3:20 states, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
Join me as we continue to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and the new life He has given us today.
May you be blessed,
Chaplain Wayne
